Meet the IllustratorHi, I'm Bear! Welcome to my Studio!
I am a stay at home dad and I work from home! Probably the best job in the world! I value my family time and my passion for art. I do mostly freelance work and commissions for clients such as T-shirt designs, mock-ups, business portraits or cards, and etc. I can do any illustration services that meet the client's needs. Send me an email, I won't bite! Passion I have a huge passion for creating characters and stories of my own. I hope to publish some of my own illustrated books and animations someday! I'm working at a slow pace because LIFE is always keeping me busy! Check out my CHARACTERS / STORIES page if you are curious. |

Background |
Born and raised in Rockford, IL and currently live in Rochester, NY where I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.F.A in Illustration in 2014. When I lost some of my ability to hear at the age of 2 years old, I became a part of another culture that has changed my life dramatically. The Deaf culture has helped shape me into who I am today. I am proud to say that I am Hard of Hearing and that I can be a part of both worlds of Hearing and Deaf, but growing up, communication was never easy between both worlds, which made me feel that there was no one I could open up to about how I truly felt inside these worlds until I starting drawing.
I have been drawing since I was 6 years old. For me art was a way of expressing myself when there was no one to talk to. From there I knew what I wanted to be. An Artist! One of the most spectacular things about art is that it shows you all kinds of perspectives. It teaches you a lot of lessons in life, to pay attention to details, to figure out how and why. They say Deaf people are good with their eyes and for me I believe that has helped me see the art in life. Just go out there and create your own life! That's part of the journey! |
