Meet the Illustrator

Hi, I'm Bear! Welcome to my Studio!

I am a stay at home dad and I work from home! Probably the best job in the world! I value my family time and my passion for art.

I do mostly freelance work and commissions for clients such as T-shirt designs, mock-ups, business portraits or cards, and etc. I can do any illustration services that meet the client's needs. Send me an email, I won't bite!

Passion
I have a huge passion for creating characters and stories of my own. I hope to publish some of my own illustrated books and animations someday! I'm working at a slow pace because LIFE is always keeping me busy! Check out my CHARACTERS / STORIES page if you are curious.

Goals

Build up a lot of fans that love my work and talent on social media. There are a lot of talented artists out there. I want to be one of those great talented artists that people can too feel inspired by me. Stop by my YouTube channel and SUBSCRIBE to show your support!

Background

Born and raised in Rockford, IL and currently live in Rochester, NY where I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.F.A in Illustration in 2014. When I lost some of my ability to hear at the age of 2 years old, I became a part of another culture that has changed my life dramatically. The Deaf culture has helped shape me into who I am today. I am proud to say that I am Hard of Hearing and that I can be a part of both worlds of Hearing and Deaf, but growing up, communication was never easy between both worlds, which made me feel that there was no one I could open up to about how I truly felt inside these worlds until I starting drawing.

I have been drawing since I was 6 years old. For me art was a way of expressing myself when there was no one to talk to. From there I knew what I wanted to be. An Artist! One of the most
spectacular things about art is that it shows you all kinds of perspectives. It teaches you a lot of lessons in life, to pay attention to details, to figure out how and why.

They say Deaf people are good with their eyes and for me I believe that has helped me see the art in life. Just go out there and create your own life! That's part of the journey!
